Everett @ 1 Month

Everett turned one month old yesterday!
I can't believe how fast that month has gone, and now it's almost time for me to go back to work and leave him. So not ready to do that!

Ok so let's be honest, one month olds, while very snugly and sweet, aren't super exciting. They just don't do much. Having said that . . .

Everett @ 1 Month

Is a lot bigger than his brother was at this age, 9 pounds 8 ounces at his two week appointment and 22 inches long

Loves to sleep on people's chests

Eats like a champ

Is learning to be super tough thanks to Mclain (big brother isn't always the nicest)

Refuses to sleep in his bassinet (just like his brother) so we've got another little one in bed with us

Has already almost grown out of all his newborn clothes and diapers

So glad we have these two mostly sweet little boys!

Summer is Ending and Baby is Coming

I wish Clain and I could have had a more eventful summer, but most of it was spent on the couch watching Netflix. I was just too pregnant and too hot to do much else. Here are the few things we did do.

                 Clain got sick a lot.

             He acted really weird.

                He acted really sweet.

          He was very mischievous!

James painted the baby's room blue.

We tried to cool off in the pool.

Clain decided he loved to play with motos, trucks, and cars...anything with wheels. Surprise there!

He got way too much candy from all the parades.

We did a lot of hanging out on the front porch.

Clain decided it was cool to walk around with his blanket like a cape.

We took Clain mini golfing, which ended up being more of him stealing the golf balls and throwing them.

We went to the Tracy Aviary.

So now the summer is over, I'm back to work for now, and Mclain goes to daycare, which is probably the sadest thing ever. I'm glad James drops him off, and I pick him up. I'd much rather get the hugs and kisses he gives every time I go get him, than deal with the tears when he gets left there. And this new little boy is going to grace us with his presence any day now! Terrified and excited! So not sure how well Clainer is going to deal with the new baby; he is already an attention hog! Guess we'll find out soon!

12 Months and Everything Inbetween

I'm four months behind on updating. My excuse is work, a one year old, and pregnancy. I was pretty sick until about April, and Mclain plus work has kept me running till now. Hopefully we can enjoy our summer together because come September when this 2nd little guy gets here, I'm pretty sure things are going to get a bit hectic. Anyway, here is some of what we have been up to since the beginning of February.

Valentine's Day

When you're pregnant and work all day, these are the kind of cookies my family gets. Clain liked them anyway!

Mclain's 1st birthday
We celebrated two days. A party for my family on his birthday, the 28th of February, and a party for James's family the next day.

Mclain officially started walking well on his own on his birthday!

March
In March I got my car smashed into! Luckily Clain and I were in the doctor's office when this happened.  I was pretty ticked off about it obviously and was without a car for about a week, but it's good as new now.

I also enjoyed my week long Spring Break staying home with my little boy. We took Mclain to the new aquarium.

April
In April we celebrated Easter by painting eggs (which Mclain did not love) and having an Easter egg hunt with a few of his cousins (which I don't have pictures of). We took Mclain bowling for the first time, and we found out Mclain is going to get a baby brother!

May
May was a really busy month for me at work with testing and end of school stuff, plus James was working a ton, so we didn't do anything exciting. Here's the only picture from May of our little cutie.

Now that Mclain is 15 months he runs all over, destroys everything, loves to wear his hat, loves to eat fruit, always wants to be outside with dad, gives kisses, and says mom, dad, uh oh, don't, thank you, bye, night-night, and on a good day pretty much mimics every word he hears. Oh, and he finally broke the 20 pound mark!

11 months

I'm a little behind, but Mclain turned 11 months old on January 28th. I can't believe this kid will be one in just about three weeks!

Mclain's favorite things at 11 months are:

•to talk on the "phone" (phone being anything that he chooses to pick up and put to his ear) and say hi, which really just comes out "ha"

•to say uh oh (really uh uh) whenever he drops something

•to throw his food all over instead of eating it (really to just throw anything)

•to play with his tractor or truck and he has started to try to make the vroom noises too

•to play with anything that he absolutely should not play with, and then when he is told "no" he just shakes his head back at you

•he loves "Old McDonald"

•he LOVES mandarin oranges and French fries

He still isn't walking yet, although I'm fairly certain he could if he would just try, but anytime he notices he is standing by himself he slowly sinks down to the floor. I guess he'll walk when he is good and ready.

Love this adorable, crazy little boy!
